PRODUCTION AREA: Grapes for this vin doux naturel (fortified wine) come from a six-acre vineyard planted with 50-year-old Grenache vines in the Roussillon district of southeast France

GRAPES: 100% Grenache

VINIFICATION/AGING: Destemmed and left in maceration and fermentation during 60 days occurring only with natural and indigenous yeasts. The « mutage »(addition of neutral alcohol) is done directly on the berries. Aged for 4 years in large oak tanks where the natural variation of temperature lets the wine develop very complex and unique aromas.

ALCOHOL: 15.5% alcohol by volume

FOOD PAIRINGS: This sweet red wine is a sublime match with chocolate-based desserts such as warm chocolate soufflé, bittersweet chocolate mousse and dark chocolate, espresso-dusted truffles
